Lucero Valdez was born in Riverside, in December 16, 1989. Lucero was raised in Indio, California by her mom Patricia Rangel. She has three siblings. Lucero went to Hoover Elementary School. Over her years in elementary, she was in several programs. She sang in Chorus, participated in kids club, Cadet Corp and Tap dance. By the summer, her mom decided to move to East Oakland, California. Lucero attended Oakland Charter Academy for Middle School. Lucero fundraised money for fieldtrips like Yosemite, Great America, and other fun activities. She also studied Salsa dance. Lucero graduated from Oakland Charter Academy in 2004. In the summer of 2004 Lucero’s mom decided to move to San Pablo, but Lucero kept coming to Oakland on Bart and bus to attend Oakland Unity High School. Lucero was in the Soccer team and in the summer of her senior year she attended the Stanford Medical Youth Science Program. Lucero is now a couple of months from graduating from high school and attending UC Santa Cruz for the fall 2008. Lucero’s plans for the future are to major in pre-med, and after graduating from UC Santa Cruz, she wants to go to Stanford for Medical school and get her Medical Degree.
